APPLICATIONS THAT ARE OFTEN USED IN INDONESIA IN 2022
From the results of research conducted by the Association of Indonesian Internet Service Providers (APJII) released a report on the results of the latest survey entitled “Pofil Internet Indonesia 2022”.
The report reveals that the number of internet users in Indonesia has now reached 210 million people. Apart from the number of internet users, APJII also provides details on which applications are accessed the most by Indonesian internet users.
There are 9 categories of applications that are frequently used by Indonesians, namely browser applications, social media, messaging, online conferencing, marketplaces, streaming platforms, online transportation, music, and e-wallets.
1. WhatsApp
Whatsapp is a simple, safe and reliable messaging and call exchange application and provides various features that facilitate interaction over long distances. In Indonesia, WhatsApp has the highest percentage, namely 98.07% of users in Indonesia.
2. Google Chrome
Google Chrome is the most used browsing application in Indonesia. Users of the application developed by Google were recorded at 76.95%.
3. Facebook
In Indonesia, Facebook is definitely no stranger because before WhatsApp, almost all internet users in Indonesia used Facebook. So it's no wonder that people in Indonesia still use this application very often. According to the APJII report, the percentage from Facebook is 68.36%.
4. Youtube
Youtube is a video sharing application that facilitates its users to upload, watch or download videos for free. Youtube is one of the most popular applications in Indonesia with a percentage of 63.02 percent of users.
5. Shopee
Shopee is an online shopping platform and is the only online store application that is most popular in Indonesia compared to other online shopping applications. There are as many as 55.08% of Indonesian people use this application to shop online.
